Valentine’s in Vancouver: The Frogstone Grill
While many couples make reservations at romantic restaurants and deliberate about which gift to buy their loved one for Valentines Day, some are looking forward to a more family friendly event. Spending Valentines Day with your children doesn’t make it any less special, but it does require that you put some thought into finding a family friendly restaurant. The Frogstone Grill is the place. Great for families, couples and singles, they combine casual dining with flavours that are indescribable – and addictive.
On the Thompson River, The Frog is a house-sized rock formation. Named by BC’s First Nations hundreds of years ago, it looks like a giant frog sitting in the stream with water rolling around it. Owners Todd and Shari wanted to create a restaurant that was just as unique and solid as this frog-shaped rock. A place that would stand the test of time, so out of this inspiration the Frogstone Grill was born and after 13 years it has stood the test of time. The Frogstone Grill is a landmark in Maple Ridge just as the frog is a landmark on the Thompson River.
This Valentine’s Weekend they’re serving cupids float cherry and coconut infused soda topped with smooth ice cream, freshly whipped cream and of course, a cherry, as well as sweet strawberry spritzer a blend of red wine and bubbles filled with sweet, fresh cut strawberries.
In The Frogstone Grill kitchen they’re preparing roasted garlic bruschetta fresh chopped tomatoes, roasted garlic and bell peppers kissed with balsamic and their special blend of seasonings. Served with a house baked focaccia bread. Also on the menu; a sweetheart salad, a bruschetta sirloin tender topped with butter poached prawns and roasted garlic bruschetta served with seasonal vegetables and our rice pilaf and fire grilled linguini.
The Frogstone Grill is full of wonderful experiences for you to indulge in. Enjoy!
