He apologized after explaining what he meant to say was that they were “more affectionate and intense,” blaming English being his second language as the cause for the miscommunication.

Some critics are raising their eyebrows pointing out that the Spanish translation for “pervert” is nearly identical to the English word, pronunciation and meaning.
