Sean Penn has ‘filed papers to adopt’ Charlize Theron’s son Jackson
Sean Penn has filed to adopt Charlize Theron’s son Jackson, according to a new report.
The 54-year-old, who is reputedly engaged to the South African actress, first went public with the relationship just one year ago at his Haiti Gala.
The couple, Us Weekly claims, are also in talks to adopt another child to give three-year-old Jackson a little brother or sister.

A source told the publication: ‘Sean always knew that to truly earn a place in Charlize’s heart, connecting with Jackson was one of the most important parts.’
The insider went on to claim that 39-year-old Charlize and her movie star beau are looking to adopt again in the near future.
Penn plays father to two children, who are already grown, from his relationship with Robin Wright – 23-year-old Dylan and 21-year-old Hopper.
Mail Online has contacted Sean Penn’s reps but they have refused to comment on the matter.

Meanwhile, the actor played coy last week when asked during his star-studded Haiti gala if he planned on marrying girlfriend Charlize.
He was asked by Extra correspondent Jerry Penacoli if he planned on marrying the blonde beauty.
‘I can’t even say things out loud,’ Sean replied.

The Mystic River star then was asked if he was keeping silent about an engagement.
‘I just hate looking at people on television talking about their relationships,’ Sean said.
Sean smiled when told how happy he looked at the event.
‘I can’t imagine why,’ he said referring to Charlize.
‘She and I have been very, very longtime friends. We hit a speed bump and must have lost our minds, so here we are,’ he said.
Sean and Charlize made their first public appearance as a couple last year at his Haiti gala.
Charlize had a longterm relationship with Irish actor Stuart Townsend that ended in January 2010 and she later adopted a son Jackson in March 2012.
Sean was formerly married to Madonna from 1985 to 1989 and to actress Robin Wright from 1996 to 2010.
