Johnny Depp dumped Vanessa Paradis for his Mother
Johnny Depp split from his long-time partner Vanessa Paradis because she didn’t get along with his mother, it has been alleged.
Heather Rassel is in the midst of a nasty divorce from Johnny’s nephew and confidante, Billy Rassel, and she has lifted the lid on what she claims ended the A-list actor’s 14-year relationship with the French singer-and-actress.
According to her take on things, it was Johnny’s eventual decision to choose his beloved mother, Betty Sue, over Vanessa that ultimately tore the couple apart.
In an interview with British newspaper The Sun, Heather made her feelings on Vanessa – who Johnny has children Lily-Rose (15) and Jack (12)with – clear.

“I don’t like Vanessa. I’m sorry but she was a total b***h. It’s what ended their relationship. I think her family took advantage of Johnny, too,” she claimed. “His mum Betty would never complain to Johnny about Vanessa or to her face. She was always polite, nice and cordial to her but to us she was a lot more honest.”
Heather also painted a bleak portrait of Johnny’s relationship with his sister Debbie – Billy’s mother. She alleged that the siblings had a falling out over who would care for their 80-year-old mother and didn’t speak for a year. She added that Debbie’s side of the family agreed not to contact Johnny or their mother and even signed a contract outlining the alleged decision.
While Johnny (51) and Vanessa (42) remain cordial for the sake of their two children, both have moved on with new relationships since splitting in June 2012.
Vanessa is dating French singer-songwriter Benjamin Biolay, while Johnny reportedly married American actress Amber Heard (28) at their LA home on Tuesday.
The couple, who have been together since 2012, will reportedly celebrate in lavish style with a second ceremony and reception on Johnny’s island in the Caribbean this weekend.
