In the Museum of Broken Relationships…
The Museum of Broken Relationships is a pop-up exhibit of sentimental objects from past relationships accompanied by a short description of their significances of the former couple. A former Croatian couple, Olinka Vistica and Drazen Grubisic, created the exhibit saying, “after our breakup this is the most beautiful thing we ever created.”
Here are a couple pieces from the exhibit:
“A size too small…but I didn’t mind at all.” – Zagreb, Croatia (2003-2005)
“I got this teddy bear for Valentine’s. He survived on top of my closet in a plastic bag, because it wasn’t him who hurt me, but the idiot who left him behind.” – Zagreb, Croatia (2002)
“The divorce day garden dwarf.” – Ljubljana, Slovenia (20 years)
“After 18 years of marriage he left me for another woman; we officially divorced after our 25th wedding anniversary.” – Maribor, Slovenia (1973-2000)
“Our goal was a happy home with many children. But Mother Nature did not deliver.” – Berlin, Germany (1994-1997)
