Six weeks after it was revealed that they’d been taking time away from their relationship, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield have been spotted out in public together in L.A. Their romance is back on, a source tells PEOPLE. “Emma and Andrew are a great couple who have been apart for work,” says the source. “They are still seeing each other. Nothing major happened between them while he was away other than a long and forced separation. Andrew has been incredibly busy and so has Emma. But the sparks are still there.” Another source says Garfield has been staying at Stone’s L.A. home.

Stone, 26, and Garfield, 31, went out to eat on Tuesday at Malibu Farm, where she’s a regular, and reportedly also dined at foodie favorite Sushi Park. Those meet-ups come after Stone was spotted greeting Garfield’s parents at a special screening of her new film Aloha in London last weekend.

The relationship was never definitively over. A source close to the couple told PEOPLE last month that while they were struggling – largely due to separation caused by work schedules – they could certainly get back together.

“He’s thrown himself in the project to the detriment of all else,” the source said of Garfield’s work on Martin Scorsese’s new film, Silence, in Taiwan. “But it’s too early to say the relationship is over.”

The source added: “It’s one of those situations where only Andrew and Emma quite know if they’ll pick up where they left off.”

Now, it seems like they’re working on just that!
