Date Night Questions To Have In Your Back Pocket!
I always get to a point on a first date where I run out of questions to ask. Either it has been very successful, and we
have been gabbering away at each other only to realise there isn’t much left to say – or it has been somewhat
pained, with each firing questions at the other, both waiting for the inevitable stalemate. No matter, when the
question catch-22 occurs it is awkward turtle for everyone involved.
To avoid the question scramble in which one will ask something like, “what sort of music do you like?” *cringe*, I
have come up with a list of questions you should read through before a first date. What to ask and what not to ask
(minus the cheese factor). Please, whatever you do, do not confuse them!
What TO Ask Where have you travelled? What is your favorite destination in the world? What is one thing that
not many people know about you? Who is your best friend? Tell me about them. What would you do if you could
do anything for a job?
What NOT To Ask What is your political stance? How long have you been single? What happened between you
and your ex? Do you see yourself having children one day? What is your diet regime? What is your GPA? What
was your family like growing up? How much money do you make? Why did your last relationship end? What is
your favorite sex position? Soooo …What’s your favorite type of cheese? At the end of the day, the secret to a
successful first date is simply not overthinking the whole process. Keep things natural, there is no pressure for the
date to flow! If you don’t click, you don’t click – and that is A-OK! Most importantly, have fun. *Literally writing
these down and keeping them in my back pocket*
